This Perl script is a VERY simple LMTP client for UNIX Domain Socket LMTP servers.

It is designed to be called via a pipe from a program such as procmail, then it sends the message it receives to the lmtp server. The script builds the LMTP envelope from the arguments it receives from the command line.
